Sleepy Beauty
This is one of my favorite fun poems that was published in Down the Rabbit Hole ! Sleepy Beauty Like an unbalanced beam When I forget to daydream. I close my eyes See peace in disguise Dancing out of a colorful steam As my favorite flavor of ice cream. I take a bite, and it seems I'm swimming in streams of glitter Where worries whither And villains can't scheme, All is agleam. Gliding through shine Souls rest and recline. Then a sudden buzz and screech I lose control of my speech Laughing in twirl and swirl I open my eyes and hurl Toward a screaming alarm That I unplug with no harm "Now, not another peep, I'm going back to sleep."
