Wandering Heart
I wrote this poem for a Wednesday Word Prompt that a publishing company posted. The prompt was a picture with a sign that said I miss you. My Heart Needs A Home/Wandering Heart I wasn’t prepared to say goodbye What? How? WHY? Tears flood around My heart, confusion is found Into the stars, I set my gaze Will sadness become my final phase? This can’t be the end of our story! How is this love’s glory? Pleading for strength and comfort With broken words- it hurts Love and grace Seem lost in this place Through past memories- I roam Will I ever find my welcome home ? S. Ambrose
